Snapshot Sunday; Bishop Castle

Good morning and Happy Sunday! I hope everyone has plans to relax today and spend time with the ones you love and with the Lord (if that’s your thing of course; and it is mine so I’ll be heading to our dear little church here soon!).

I love looking through old pictures of adventures that we’ve had. The other day I came across this picture from when we visited Bishop Castle, which sits about an hour and a half drive outside Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Bizarre, yet completely mesmerizing in its foreboding nature, this castle is a sight that you really have to see for yourself. The man that created Bishop Castle, Jim Bishop, has spent 60 years working tirelessly (and singlehandedly too, I believe) on the construction of this castle. That, in itself, makes this structure even more amazing.

The castle is free to the public but does have visiting hours. You can learn more about the castle at their website, here.

Here’s to wishing everyone has a spectacular week and we finally start seeing some more consistently warm temperatures and sunshine!
